Formerly CEO/Owner of Wayland Hancock Properties beginning in 1976, Bill Jones has been involved in 1,000s of residential real estate transactions. He has chaired and served on numerous local, state and national Realtor committees, advisory groups, boards of directors and executive boards of directors. He was the Chairman of the Houston Association of Realtors in 1995. He earned the Certified International Property Specialist designation in 1995.

Bill has received many awards and honors during his real estate career. He was named Houston Association of Realtors – Realtor of the Year in 2007. He is a real estate consultant, speaker, educator and Houston area market expert.

In 2013 Bill served as the Chairman of the TAR Technology/MLS Committee. He also served as a member of the HAR Information and Technology Committees.

Bill is a native Texan and has been practicing real estate brokerage in Houston, Texas since 1976. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of Houston and played on the 1973, 10-1 University of Houston football team. In 1973 he won the “Mad Dog” defensive player of the game award versus Virginia Tech.

Bill is an active member of West University Baptist Church. He and his wife Mary Elizabeth McGivern reside in West University Place, Texas and are delighted to have two wonderful children and five very lovely grandchildren.
